The only time that application to MIP program can be made is at the January or July Pre-Conference presbytery meeting!

The Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) is provided as an intense study program for ministers seeking local license or ordination with the Congregational Holiness

Church.  When a minister desires to obtain local license, he/she should fill out an application (download it by clicking on this

link chchurch, chchurchna, Applications & Forms ) and have it signed by the local church secretary and pastor. Once that is complete,

contact the MIP Director. He will explain the next step in the process. The next step will be that the applicant should appear in person

along with the sponsoring pastor and the MIP Director (and your License to preach form that you downloaded from the internet) at

the Pre/Post-Conference meeting that is held on the

Friday night before or, immediately following the adjournment of the January or July conference date

to be approved to be set aside for the preaching of the Gospel.

You can keep check on the announcement page, or contact your MIP director concerning the exact date to appear.

(We will not proceed with the process unless your sponsoring pastor is present!)

Upon approval by the presbytery, the candidate will then mail, to the MIP Director, the appropriate fees. ($110.00 for Local Preachers License,

$125.00 for the ordination phase) THE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. EVEN IF YOU DON'T COMPLETE THE PROGRAM!

The check should be made out to the North Alabama Ch Church Evangelism/MIP Dept.

Upon receipt of the proper funds, the MIP Director will then order your materials from

headquarters. You will be in contact with him until the licensing process is completed. so please make sure he has a working phone number.

Please note that the District Presbytery will issue Local License only when a candidate has successfully completed the study materials,

has documented preaching at least 50 sermons, and is recommended to be licensed by the MIP Director.

After being licensed for 12 months, the minister may apply for ordination with the District Presbytery. (There is a $125.00 Non-Refundable fee for the ordination phase)

This part of the program is on a strict time line.

All work must be successfully competed within the time frame set by the MIP Director.

The Ordination Certificate is awarded when a minister has successfully completed the study materials and has documented preaching at least 100 sermons (Including the 50 required for Local License),

18 years of age, and held Local Preachers license for 12 consecutive months.

The Licensee has 12 months from the beginning of the program to compete it.

If the program is not completed, then the Licensee will need to re-appear before the

Presbytery to be interviewed a second time .

The study materials and approved activities are very beneficial to any young minister who feels that definite call to minister the Word of God.

These ministries may include but are not limited to pulpit ministries, evangelism, teaching, youth ministries, jail ministries, nursing home ministries, etc.
